Accessible via B 29 Waiblingen-Aalen Schorndorf-Backnang exit, L 1148 state road to Rudersberg L 1080 state road Rudersberg-Backnang, Rudersberg-Welzheim.
Public transport:
For the Wieslauftal there is a very good offer in public transport with the Wieslauftalbahn with the associated bus delivery concept. The Schorndorf, Rudersberg-Oberndorf R21 train line runs every half hour during peak hours and every hour at other times and has direct connections in Schorndorf to and from the S2 Stuttgart S-Bahn line and the regional train in the direction of Stuttgart or Schwäbisch Gmünd .
The Wieslauftalbahn does not run on Sundays. (Exception: trips on the historic steam train) The missing times are covered by bus line 228 Schorndorf-Rudersberg-Welzheim of the RBS.
The new line 330 runs daily between Kaisersbach and Winnenden via Althütte, Rudersberg (Asperglen and Krehwinkel) and Oppelsbohm. The buses run every two hours and even every hour during rush hour.
In Rudersberg, passengers have the option of changing to the Wieslauftalbahn. Also new is that the buses go directly to the Rems-Murr-Klinikum.

The first documented mention of Musterstadt in a document from Pope Innocent IV dates back to 1245. The rest of Waldenstein Castle, today a castle restaurant, is located in the district of Waldenstein.

At the Musterstadt school center there is a primary school, a secondary school, a junior high school and a special needs school. There is one elementary school each in Schlechtbach and Steinenberg. The elementary school in Steinenberg bears the name August Lämmle School.
